Coming up: our Harvest Festival!

Abbey Gardens Harvest Festival
Saturday 29th September
12 noon – 4pm

Triangle Market is back at Abbey Gardens with a fresh produce, food and craft market from 12 noon-4pm.

Meet some of the stallholders…

Nina Magdziak Nayeem and Zara Nayeem – Zara’s bead creations
Mother and daughter Nina and Zara sell beautiful, intricate and colorful hama bead creations. Everything from fridge magnets, keychains, earrings to art pieces.

Denzil Coleman – tropical fruits
Denzil is a familiar friendly face selling coconuts, mangoes and sugarcane on West Ham Lane – and we’re delighted that for a second time, he’s coming to Abbey Gardens.

Kina Legg – knitwear
Kina started selling at Triangle Market last Christmas at its first ever market in the square. Her beautiful knits were at our last Triangle Market at Abbey Gardens and we can’t wait to see what’s new.

Ana Ramos – Alternating stitches
A colourful blend of different things: see Ana to upgrade your jewellery collection, look for playful accessories or buy one of her collectors’ comic books.

Manzoor Ahmed – Fusion Foods
Manzoor sells delicious and healthy food with his daughter and son – he’s a Newham markets veteran and he can also be found giving out food to the homeless in Stratford Centre.

Milly Grant and Christine – Dolls’ clothes and accessories
Milly and her friend Christine are accessory makers extraordinaire – handmade dolls’ clothes and an array of stitched goodies, from brooches to tote bags.

Cara Turpin and daughter
Cara’s daughter makes and sells bespoke frames.

Stephanie Joslin – Forest Bake
Stephanie sells cakes, including vegan and gluten-free options, as well as chocolate truffles.

Arlene Dunkley-Wood – Honey and bread
Bread and honey, a snack right there on one stall!

Munira Ebrahim – Hennarize
Indian gifts, glitter tattoos and henna tattoos.

Chris Spanton and Arjun Goswami, East London NHS Foundation Trust, Talking Therapies
Chris and Arjun are returning to the garden with a stall about their free workshops on mindfulness, stress handling and confidence building.

Manzoor Ahmed – Fusion Foods
Delicious and healthy Indian street food.

Peter Payne – cartoonist
Peter will be live drawing caricatures – buy your very own caricature to take away!

Busra Uz – Turkish food
Busra will be back at Abbey Gardens with her super-tasty Turkish salads and bakes.

Workshops – free activities from 1pm-3pm

Knit a vegetable
with our fabulous knitwear stallholder Kina Legg. Knitting needles and yarn provided.

Heritage walk
With huge developments and changes in Stratford and West Ham, the area is under threat of losing its historical heritage. The walk will map some existing historical buildings, discuss with residents their historical importance and come back to Abbey Gardens where Torange Khonsari, a resident and an Abbey Gardens member, will run a workshop on how communities can list buildings.

Live music

Natasha Kirke
Natasha is coming back to the garden after her epic performance at our last Triangle Market at Abbey Gardens!

Alex Dobson
An exciting new talent, Alex has played at Triangle Market and now we’ll get to hear him at the garden.

And you can tour the garden and find out how you can get involved, from volunteering your skills behind the scenes to joining in with our free drop-in community gardening sessions: Tuesdays 1pm-3pm, Thursdays 4pm-7pm and Saturdays 11am-4pm.
