Welcome to Abbey Gardens, a community garden in West Ham
surrounding part of the ruins of a
12th century abbey.

There are free garden club sessions and new gardeners are always welcome. The garden is open to visitors from dawn till dusk.

Spring Fun Day Saturday 16 April 2pm-4pm

Free  entry following the usual garden club session

Join us to celebrate the start of the growing season, with activities for everyone

Take part in seed sowing with Hamish, our garden club leader
Try your hand at traditional Eastern European egg decorating
Let your imagination loose with some fun, garden-inspired creative writing
Meet fellow Newham residents and gardeners, and enjoy a natter over a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake
Take a look at the Abbey Gardens goodies on the honesty stall
Kids may particularly enjoy a bee-making workshop,
and the finale of the day – a Spring treasure hunt

Activities are free of charge. Food, drink and honesty stall goodies are available for donations.
