What will happen to the trees ???

Nina and myself met on site with Eunice Fortune. Eunice works for Skanska Grantrail, the contracting company who has been appointed to build the new DLR station. The new station will require a section of the Abbey Gardens land and we were keen to understand the extend of this.
The existing passage that connects Bakers Row to Bridge road will have to move to make way for the platform. We are keen to see the existing trees that have established on the site to remain and if necessary get integrated into the passage. Eunice did not sound too optimistic though she could not read the plans well enough to tell us exactly how much land will be taken off the garden.
