Welcome to Abbey Gardens, a community garden in West Ham
surrounding part of the ruins of a
12th century abbey.

There are free garden club sessions and new gardeners are always welcome. The garden is open to visitors from dawn till dusk.

The Soil Report …

Newham Council has released the soil report for the Abbey Gardens site. We are waiting for the Newham Environmental Health team to clarify the significance of the above average contamination levels of lead, arsenic and benzo(a)pyrene found in the soil.
