A community event in Stratford park organised by the council. 4 Hours in a tent advertising Abbey Gardens / What Will The Harvest Be? and trying to get a wider group of people interested. It was nice to arrive and see some familiar faces – Gordon and Louise – in their capacity as Lansbury Gardeners rather then members of the West Ham Allotment Society. We also met the Friends of West Ham Park again and made contact with the Skanska who will construct the DLR station and who will move into their site office in a couple of weeks. The new station will require 2 meters of Abbey Gardens land for their platform. Hopefully the trees will survive.!!!
